Lord Krishna on devotion and devotees

Lord Krishna in his preaching to Arjuna that four types of devotees worship him. They are the seeker after worldly possessions, the afflicted, the seeker for knowledge and the man of wisdom. To illustrate this point, I would like to quote from Ramayana. Ravana and his brothers Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana performed penance on Bramha-the Creator. The Creator was pleased with their penance and Ravana seeks a boon of immortality but Creator grants him invulnerability by sections and apparently in his list of boons Ravana omits human beings. Of course, Kumbhakarna asked for sleep which was granted. Vibhishana requests a boon that he should always lead a life of righteousness. The Creator was much pleased and grants him immortality. We can see here that when Ravana asked for  immortality and  that boon was not granted by the Creator whereas Vibhishana was granted immortality.  Krishna makes a reference that four types of devotees worship him and they come under the classification of Satva, Rajasa and Tamasa. We see in day today life some people with these above qualities. What is important is what we seek in life from the Almighty becomes a vital factor. We look at the ocean, we get pearls and we get other things which are not valuable. It all depends on what we choose. However, a person with wisdom excels.
I seek your kind views on the subject.
