Gita Jayanthi - A clinical perspective

The Gita Jayanti is celebrated in some parts of the country. It is enshrining the Message of God Shri Krishna to Arjuna, is perhaps the commented work in the world. There are enumerable commentaries on it written by several scholars and it is free from dogma and fanaticism. It had advocated a very dynamic concept of duty and efficient action. After the conclusion of Gita, Arjuna fought bravely on the battlefield but did not exchange his Gandiva bow for an ascetic's bowl. We see across the succeeding centuries, millions and millions of people who were perturbed and perplexed, puzzled and paralysed on account of life's problems found comfort and consolation and faced them with courage and conviction inspired by the reading of BhagavadGita. The path of knowledge, performance of duty and surrender to God are all one and are not divergent. The Upanishads have taken the form of a cow, Arjuna was a calf, and Krishna was a cowherd and Gita is the milk of Upanishadic cow. Ultimately the sinner as well as the saint can seek solace and self-realisation from  BhagavadGita.
I solicit your kind views.
